Spin the wheel and see where the ball lands. Learn how roulette works, the bets and payouts, and play roulette online free on Android and iPhone.
Roulette is one of the most recognisable casino games in the world. A ball is spun around a numbered wheel and players bet on where it will land — a single number, a group of numbers, a colour or a section of the table. The simple idea and the excitement of the spin make online roulette a favourite of casino game fans.
When you play roulette online you get a clear betting table, animated wheel and instant results. Choose between European roulette with one zero, American roulette with a double zero, or French roulette with its special rules, and try every kind of bet without leaving your phone.
Below you will find the complete roulette rules, a table of bets and payouts, the difference between European and American wheels, how the odds work, common myths, a glossary and tips for responsible play.
Choose the chip value you want to bet with from the chip tray.
Tap the betting table to place chips on numbers, groups of numbers, colours, odd/even, high/low, dozens or columns. You can place several bets in one spin.
When the timer ends, no more bets can be placed and the dealer launches the ball.
The ball travels around the wheel and finally drops into one of the numbered pockets.
The winning number, its colour and its section are shown on screen and in the results history.
Winning bets are paid at their odds, losing chips are cleared and a new round begins.

A roulette wheel is divided into numbered pockets that alternate between red and black. In European roulette the numbers 1 to 36 and one green zero are used. In American roulette there is also a second green pocket marked 00. The dealer spins the wheel in one direction and launches the ball in the opposite direction; the ball settles in a pocket and that number is the winner.
Inside bets are placed on the numbers themselves. They pay more but win less often.
Outside bets cover large groups of numbers, such as red or black, odd or even, or a dozen. They win more often and pay less.
| Bet | What you bet on | Payout |

| Six line | Two adjoining rows (six numbers) | 5 to 1 |

Because it has only one zero, European roulette gives the best odds of the standard versions, so it is the best place to begin.
The chance of any single number winning in European roulette is 1 in 37 (about 2.7%), and in American roulette 1 in 38 (about 2.6%). Bets on red or black win 18 times in 37 on a European wheel, or 18 in 38 on an American wheel — which is why they are not exactly 50/50. Every spin is independent: past results do not change the next one.
